Mixers
Open Mics
Kinetic Open Mics are intentionally designed entry points into our community—welcoming, high-respect spaces where emerging and established artists share new work, connect with community, and grow their practice. These events serve primarily creatives of color—poets, singers, musicians, dancers, and storytellers—while attracting a broader audience seeking spaces where art, belonging, and purpose intersect.
Each gathering pairs an open mic with a mixer, creating room for feedback, networking, and next steps. Artists refine work. Audiences expand. Collaborations begin. Held regularly throughout the year, these programs support artist development, foster connection, and amplify underrepresented voices—helping shape culture from the ground up.
These are spaces where creativity is honored and participants feel seen and supported. Whether you’re just starting out or deep in your craft, our Open Mics & Mixers are where creative expression expands.
Artist Talks & Spotlights
Artist Talks & Spotlights are gatherings designed to center one artist’s voice and vision. Whether it’s a set of songs, a cycle of poems, a short film, or an “unplugged” performance, this format gives artists room to go deep—offering uninterrupted time to share their work and process on their own terms.
These events are crafted for meaningful connection—not just performance. Each Talk & Spotlight concludes with a facilitated Q&A that invites dialogue, reflection, and audience curiosity. It’s a space where artists don’t just present finished work—they share what shaped it.
Artist Talks & Spotlights are part of our broader commitment to artist development, cultural dialogue, and honoring process—not just product. They complement our larger gatherings by creating space for nuance, story, and the kind of resonance that can only happen when art, spirit, and community slow down together.
