Cohorts
Emerging Artist Cohorts
Emerging Artist Cohorts are small, trusted circles where creatives gather to explore not only what they make, but why it matters—and what it takes to sustain a creative life with integrity in the world we live in. Held over six weekly or bi-weekly sessions, each cohort serves as a structured incubator for practice, reflection, and development designed to support artistic growth and career development.
Many emerging artists are devoted to their craft but disconnected from the resources that can sustain it. They are often underrepresented and/or underresourced creatives who have carried the weight of their work without adequate support and who may not yet recognize that what stirs in them belongs to a much longer lineage of cultural makers, truth-tellers, and world-builders.
Emerging Artist Cohorts are informed by an understanding of art as a site of meaning-making, truth-telling, and repair—not merely self-expression or market performance. Within a trusted circle, participants reconnect with artistic, cultural, spiritual, and emotional wells that have long existed. In community, participants gain the courage and clarity to take creative risks and deepen their craft.
This is not a loose support group. It’s a guided structured experience for artists who are ready to sharpen craft, strengthen discipline, and get closer to rooms, relationships, and opportunities that can move the work forward. We use a SOAR frame (Skills, Opportunities, Access, Resources) to keep the value-add concrete and measurable—while still honoring the deeper inner-life formation that sustains creative longevity.
Emerging Artist Cohorts are how we invest in the people behind the work—so artists gain momentum, audiences meet what’s next, and culture gets shaped from the ground up.
