Equity & Justice...

At Kinetic, we understand the arts not only as a form of expression, but as a vital mode of cultural work—one that can confront injustice, honor memory, and cultivate spiritual and social transformation.

Our Equity & Justice initiatives use the arts to surface suppressed truths, disrupt dominant narratives, and make space for communities to reflect, reimagine, and resist. We curate programs that explore how history, identity, and power show up in the everyday—and how creativity can be a pathway to healing, agency, and change.

Through performances, discussions, workshops, and community-rooted collaborations, we work alongside artists and changemakers to:

  • Reclaim stories and symbols often erased or misrepresented

  • Illuminate the sacred dimensions of justice work

  • Create counter-narratives through music, poetry, movement, and media

  • Build cultural infrastructure that supports flourishing beyond the margins

We see the arts as both mirror and compass—helping us make sense of where we've been and imagine where we might go. If you believe in culture as a site of resistance and renewal, we invite you to be part of this work.

Sinners & Saints: A 3-Part Discussion Series

Join us for a provocative summer discussion series inspired by the film Sinners. Together, we’ll dive into the deep waters of blues spirituality, reflect on the draining forces that threaten authentic community, wrestle with the ways institutions have extracted the lifeblood from artists, and reimagine sacred space as something raw, communal, and alive.

Thursdays: July 31, August 14, and August 28
7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

Come ready to reflect and reclaim the power of the blues muse in gospel, jazz, hip hop, and creative imagination, in general, as tools of personal and collective renewal and resistance.
