Kinetic Sessions

Kinetic Sessions are our signature performance events showcasing established artists across genres—music, spoken word, movement, visual arts, and more. These sessions are thoughtfully produced, often staged in respected Brooklyn venues like BRIC or Soapbox Gallery. Each Session is more than a performance—it’s an experience that holds space for artistry, cultural reflection, and spiritual depth. Audiences come expecting high-level work, creative risk-taking, and the kind of connection that only happens in a live, collective setting. Whether it's a multimedia collaboration, themed musical performance, or spoken word suite, Kinetic Sessions position artists at the center and invite the community into a rich and resonant encounter.

Artist Spotlights

Kinetic Artist Spotlights are intimate showcases that feature a single artist sharing their work in a focused and uninterrupted setting. Whether it’s a set of songs, a cycle of poems, a short film, or a solo performance, the Spotlight format allows artists to go deep and take their time.

Each Spotlight concludes with an audience Q&A that invites reflection, curiosity, and connection. These events are ideal for those who want to engage with the inner life of an artist—their process, their influences, and their story. It’s a slower, more personal kind of gathering that complements our larger-scale events by creating space for depth, nuance, and dialogue.

Open Mics

Kinetic Open Mics are a staple of our creative ecosystem—welcoming spaces where emerging voices take the stage and established artists often drop in to test new work. These events buzz with creative energy and offer a low-barrier, high-respect platform for poets, singers, emcees, comics, dancers, and storytellers. Our Open Mics are curated to maintain a sense of quality while staying grounded in radical hospitality. These are spaces where creativity is honored and participants feel seen and supported. Whether you’re just starting out or deep in your craft, the Kinetic Open Mic is where many artists find their voice, refine new work, and discover new collaborations.

Artist Workshops & Cohorts

Artist Workshops offer a candid look into what it actually takes to be a working artist today—especially for creatives navigating the intersections of faith, justice, and culture. They provide skill-building and peer engagement in a focused setting. Whether it’s grant writing, performance technique, media production, or creating a digital portfolio, our workshops are facilitated by experienced artists and cultural workers who understand the grind and the grace of the creative process.

Artist Cohorts are small, peer-based groups designed for artists and creatives to build community, share resources, and support each other’s growth. Each cohort is formed around a shared discipline (like dance, film, design) or a compelling interest (such as AI, spirituality, or social justice in the arts). Meeting regularly in person or online, cohorts function as creative micro-communities. They are collective spaces rooted in trust, affinity, and mutual encouragement.
