Join us for our Good Friday (Remix) presentation, Rhythm, Rupture & Resilience. This year’s event will be an immersive evening of gospel, jazz, poetry, hip hop, and neo soul reimagining Jesus' final words for our contemporary context. Framed against the backdrop of today's enduring inequities, this live creative arts experience will weave live music and spoken word into a ritual of resistance and hope.
Featuring a powerful roster of artists, this multimedia experience fuses sound, story, and ritual to hold lament and longing alongside defiant hope—while opening space for beauty, repair, and shared imagination.

Cito Blanko - MC / POET
Cito Blanko is a Bronx-based poet, artist, educator, and author known for his powerful spoken word, debut poetry album “Exp Dates” and creating the "Words That Write You" program for NYC students, blending conscious themes with sharp lyricism to explore identity and resilience in the modern world, earning acclaim and Grammy consideration.

Tamieyah - VOCALS
Tamieyah is a Dallas-born, Miami-raised R&B and soul artist blending rich vocals, gospel influence, and bold storytelling. A FAMU alum and Berklee NYC master’s graduate, she explores themes of love, self-discovery, faith, and empowerment. With two projects — Mie and Love Mie Now — on all streaming platforms, she continues to expand her sound through ongoing collaborations. Follow her at @Tamieyah.

Immanuel Williams - BASS
Immanuel Williams is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, singer, and educator from Annapolis Maryland. He attended NYU where he received his masters in music. As a touring/freelance musician, Immanuel has played with various artists since 2017 including shows at SXSW, Austin City Limits, Kennedy Center and more.

Elisee Ngbo - PIANO
Elisee Ngbo is a jazz pianist born and raised in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Elisee has received a degree in Master in Jazz Studies from Manhattan School of Music, and is currently a masters student in the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz @ UCLA. Ngbo has been mentored by several top name jazz musicians including, Herbie Hancock, Ambrose Akinmusire, Buster WIlliams, Carl Allen, Danilo Perez, Marc Cary, Jimmy Green, Aaron Goldberg, Jaleel Shaw, and Jean Baylor (former member of R&B duo Zhané).

Josh Green - DRUMMER
Born and raised in Houston Texas, Josh Green is a Drummer, Composer & Educator. He attended the prestigious High School for the Performing & Visual Arts and in 2018 he moved to New York City to attend the Manhattan School of Music, where he graduated from in 2022. He has played at venues such as Jazz at Lincoln Center, The Blue Note and City Center and performed with the likes of Jazzmeia Horn, Damien Sneed and the Alvin Ailey Dance Company among others.

B. Cain is a singer, songwriter, worship leader and creative visionary whose sound carries both power and presence. Known for her Spirit-led flow and authentic voice, she creates atmospheres where people can encounter God, rediscover identity, and experience healing. B. Cain isn’t just a singer—she’s a sound, a vessel, and a builder of spaces where transformation takes place.

Javian - TRUMPET
Dr. Javian Brabham is Assistant Professor of Music and Music Education and Director of Brass Studies at New York University. A South Carolina native, he holds degrees from Florida State University and the University of New Mexico, and has held prior faculty positions at Valdosta State University and Young Harris College. An active performer, he serves as Principal Trumpet of the Albany Symphony Orchestra and regularly performs with the American Composers Orchestra, New York Pops, and Gateways Music Festival Orchestra. Javian is also a founding member of the Brookwood Trio and has presented masterclasses and performed as a soloist at major festivals, conferences, and universities across the country.

R.Q.Tek - SPOKEN WORD
R.Q.Tek (Righteous Quest That Enters Kingdom) is from East Harlem in NYC. He is a musician who uses rap and spoken word to tell stories of "pain, hope, love, and his relationship with God. His work often focuses on mental health advocacy and purposeful lyrics. He has performed at multiple festivals and opened up for Ryan Leslie, G Eazy and No Big Dyl. He is a 4-time Nuyorican Poets Cafe winner and has been featured in events across the United States, Toronto, Puerto Rico, India, and Africa.

Cellus Hamilton - HIP HOP
Cellus Hamilton is a rap artist and author based in NYC. Raised in Atlanta, he was influenced by his mother, a buzzing HipHop artist. Cellus is the author of two books: If Jesus Was a Rapper, which debuted in Amazon's top 50 rap/hiphop books, and Why Men Shouldn't Have Sex Before Marriage. In 2024, he took on the ambitious challenge of creating and releasing a new song every week for the entire year. His latest album, His Songbook for the Journey, was released in May 2022. Cellus is one of the most important rappers of his generation and resides in Harlem with his wife and two sons.
